Ultimate cosplay: The Thirteenth Doctor costume

July 10, 2020 by Alex Skerratt Leave a Comment

Listen, extended fam – any timeless child can put on the Thirteenth Doctor costume, and you don’t have to be a Sheffield resident! If you saw 2018’s ‘The Woman who Fell to Earth,’ you will remember that the newly-regenerated Doc picked up her garb at a Yorkshire thrift store. But for those of us who haven’t fought the dreaded T’zim-Sha (or don’t live in Sheffield) we have to look a bit further afield to source the Thirteenth Doctor costume.

Obviously, we have a slightly easier deal at Lovarzi as we sell the Thirteenth Doctor scarf, so we don’t have to look far.

However, for the dedicated band of Doctor Who cosplayers, putting together the Thirteenth Doctor costume is no hurdle, and we love these pictures sent in by Whovians Elizabeth Wetzel and Heidi Manley. See what you think!

So far, the Thirteenth Doctor hasn’t experienced as many costume variations as some of her predecessors; fans of the Eleventh Doctor will know that he burned through quite a few versions in his four years in the TARDIS! But we still have 2020’s festive special – ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ – and the full Series Thirteen still to come, so there should be plenty of work for the cosplayers of the universe. What additions would you like to see to the Thirteenth Doctor costume?

Anyway, a big thank you and well done to Elizabeth Wetzel and Heidi Manley for these fab photos. If you have your own Doctor Who cosplay pictures that you’d like to share with us, feel free to email them to alex@lovarzi.co.uk.
