Doctor Who: Amazing 7th Doctor cosplay!

November 6, 2020 by Alex Skerratt 7 Comments

Have you ever attempted some 7th Doctor cosplay? There’s a lot to think about, and his trousers can be particularly hard to source (as we discovered when we wrote our Lovarzi guide: Cosplaying the 7th Doctor’s outfit!)

But when we saw these costume creations pop up on our Twitter feed, we had to share them with you. Could one of them really be a Time Lord disguise? Or even a pre-Hartnell Doctor?! The speculation starts here.

Amazing 7th Doctor cosplay creations

  • 7th doctor cosplay
    Dan Wilson
  • 7th doctor cosplay
    David Mckirdy
  • 7th doctor cosplay
Laura Jayne Hunt’s question mark spoons

We particularly love Laura’s question mark spoons! It would have been really fun to see those featured in a 7th Doctor story (maybe sonic versions for ‘Time and the Rani.’) And David Mckirdy has managed to find not only a good pair of trousers, but also a pretty accurate-looking jacket! Great work.

Remember, though, if you’re after a question mark jumper, then there’s only one place to be. (Sorry for the shameless plug.)

Have you ever attempted some 7th Doctor cosplay? Or perhaps you’ve dressed up as another Doctor Who character? Let us know in the comments below, and if you have any photos, we’d love to see them! Drop me a line at alex@lovarzi.co.uk.

Yes, I have tried 7th Doctor cosplay…..it’s pretty much what I’m known for on the convention circuit. I fell into it by accident after I started 1940s re-enacting, so having a 40s looking Doctor costume made perfect sense. Good job Lovarzi was there for the accessories..! 🙂

Many years ago I bought the Dapol 7th Doctor Sweater. A few years ago I discovered you had made a beautifully accurate version, and there were other accessories to go with it. Thanks to you guys a cosplay which could have been very difficult to put together became so much easier. I now have the Cream and Brown jackets (courtesy of Baron Boutique) so can cosplay all three seasons of the 7th Doctor! Thank you so much for all the wonderful pieces in your Doctor Who range, no cosplay wardrobe should be without at least one Lovarzi item!

    Hi Alex
I see you mentioned that the 7th Doctor’s trousers are difficult to find, I managed to buy a cheap pair of trousers (which were dark grey and had a tarten finish to them) so using black and red permanent marker pens drew vertical and horizontal lines in the style of the 7th Doctors.
I will send photos of my costume when I can. All the best to you
